Based on my research of numerous scientific articles showing the benefit of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), this therapy was added to our office five years ago. In this short time, I have seen significant improvement with conditions such as autism, CP, ADD/ADHD, dementia, learning disorders, and concussion recovery. Adults with fibromyalgia, strokes, and fatigue have also been helped. Sports-related injuries heal much quicker with HBOT.

HBOT at our office is 95% pure oxygen administered in a 1.5 atmosphere pressurized chamber. The result is a 10-fold increase of oxygen in the fluids of the body (lymph, cerebral spinal fluids, plasma, etc.).

There are several studies showing the benefits of HBOT. A simple web search of the condition you or someone you know has, followed by “HBOT” will usually get you pointed toward information on the research for that particular condition. Some conditions are listed below.

There are only 14 conditions the FDA has approved for HBOT use. Most of the conditions I see in my office are not on that list. Why aren’t there more on that list? The best explanation is in an article by Dr. Cranton who explains that why, with all the scientific studies validating the benefits of HBOT, it is not more widely accepted as a safe alternative to drug therapy:
