Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Based on extensive research and numerous scientific studies highlighting the benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), we introduced this treatment to our office ten years ago.   Since then, we’ve seen remarkable results in both children and adults.

In children, HBOT has shown improvement in conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, ADD/ADHD, learning disorders, dementia, and concussion recovery.  In adults, we’ve seen positive outcomes in those with fibromyalgia, stroke-related challenges, and chronic fatigue.  Sports injuries often heal much faster with HBOT.

At our office, HBOT involves breathing 95% pure oxygen inside a 1.5 atmosphere pressurized chamber, resulting in up to a 10-fold increase in oxygen levels throughout the body’s fluids—including lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, and plasma.

Treatment is usually 60 minutes laying in a comfortable pressurized chamber.  Cell phones and earphones can be used while in the chamber.

There are only 14 conditions the FDA has approved for HBOT use. Most of the conditions I see in my office are not on that list. Why aren't there more on that list? The best explanation is in an article by Dr. Cranton who explains that why, with all the scientific studies validating the benefits of HBOT, it is not more widely accepted as a safe alternative to drug therapy:
